Altiven® Class 1 Combined Arm with Grip Top & Elbow

Sleeve and hand section knitted as one garment

The Altiven® Class 1 Combined Arm with Grip Top & Elbow covers the arm and the hand in one garment, so there is no join at the wrist. Compression is EU Class 1 at 18-21mmHg, the moderate level, graduated so it is firmest at the far end of the limb and eases towards the shoulder. It is designed for the management of lymphoedema, venous oedema and vascular conditions, and Urgo® Medical knits the Altiven® range at its own UK factory.

Fit at the elbow and upper arm

  • EU Class 1 graduated compression, 18-21mmHg
  • Grip top band at the top of the upper arm, to help stop the sleeve sliding down
  • Elbow shaped to follow the bend of the arm
  • Hand section and sleeve made as a single piece
  • Circular-knit fabric with a soft, lightweight feel

Size range and fitting

Sizes run I/XS, II/S, III/M, IV/L and V/XL, in Black or Soft Beige. Sizing comes from measurements taken at several points along the arm and hand, so it is not a size to guess at. Put the sleeve on first thing in the morning, before swelling builds through the day.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
