Altiven® Class 1 Combined Arm with Grip Top

Continuous compression from the hand to the upper arm

There is no join between the hand and the sleeve here. The Altiven® Class 1 Combined Arm with Grip Top is knitted as one garment from the hand up to the top of the upper arm, where a grip top helps hold it in place. Compression is EU Class 1, 18-21mmHg, the moderate level, firmest at the wrist and easing towards the shoulder. Urgo® Medical designs the Altiven® range for the management of lymphoedema, venous oedema and vascular conditions.

Hand section, knit and grip top

  • EU Class 1 graduated compression, 18-21mmHg
  • One-piece hand and arm cover, so there is no separate hand piece to line up
  • Grip top band at the top edge, designed to limit the sleeve sliding down
  • Circular-knitted construction
  • Made by Urgo® Medical at its UK factory

Fit and shades

Five sizes, I/XS, II/S, III/M, IV/L and V/XL, in Black or Soft Beige. A combined arm is sized from measurements taken at several points on the hand and arm, so it needs a proper fitting rather than a guess. Take off rings and a watch before you put it on, as they can snag the knit.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
