The glove is part of the sleeve here, so the hand and arm are covered by one garment with no separate glove to pull on. A grip top holds the upper end in place. Compression is EU Class 1, 18-21mmHg, graduated along the arm, and Lohmann & Rauscher make the ActiLymph® range for the ongoing management of lymphoedema and swelling in the arm and hand.
Put the garment on first thing, before the arm fills out through the day. Take off rings and a watch first, so they do not catch the knit. Two lengths are offered, Standard and Long, in Small, Medium and Large, and the colour is Sand. It can be machine washed at up to 40°C.
It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.
Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
