SIGVARIS® ADVANCE 14-18mmHg Arm Sleeve

A 14-18mmHg arm sleeve in five sizes and two lengths

The SIGVARIS® ADVANCE arm sleeve applies Class 1 compression, 14-18mmHg, a moderate level. It is made for the ongoing management of lymphoedema and other swelling in the arm. The knit is soft and breathable, designed to draw moisture away from the skin so the sleeve stays comfortable through the day, and it is latex free.

Compression, sizes and fabric

  • Class 1 compression, 14-18mmHg
  • 50% polyamide, 28% Micro Modal, 22% elastane
  • Latex free
  • Sizes X-Small, Small, Medium, Large and X-Large
  • Normal and Long lengths
  • Black or Natural

Fitting and daily wear

Arm sleeves are normally fitted by a lymphoedema practitioner or nurse, who measures the arm at several points rather than reading sizes off a general chart. It is worth asking about a second sleeve, so one can be washed while the other is worn. Rubber gloves help when you draw the sleeve up the arm, as they grip the knit and keep your nails away from it.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.

Although the wrong sleeve was sent, it was quickly rectified. Very satisfied and will use DayLong again.

I thought I had ordered one with a silicone top, but unfortunately I had not, it is not quite as comfortable as the silicone top sleeve but still very good.

Although last time before Christmas they sent me extra large twice instead of small!
