Clear TPU sleeve with a neoprene seal for IV and PICC sites

The SealCuff® cover is a clear TPU sleeve with a soft neoprene seal, made to keep an IV or PICC site and its dressing dry during a shower or bath. It sits on the upper arm, with the seal flat against intact skin so water runs off the outside of the sleeve. The cover is latex-free, lightweight and made to be used again by the same person.

Getting it on and off

Widen the seal opening with the fingers, then slide the arm through the sleeve so the clear section sits over the site and the dressing. Work the seal until it lies flat and snug against the skin, and check it before getting into the shower. Afterwards, dry the outside of the sleeve and the seal, roll the seal edge back off the skin, and draw the arm out without disturbing the line.

• Rinse after use and hang to air dry before storing
• For showering and bathing only, not for swimming or full submersion
• Not suitable for children

Measurement and seal placement do most of the work here: the seal has to sit on dry, intact skin, clear of the dressing, to hold a watertight edge. Check the size before ordering. Anyone unsure whether the cover suits their line or dressing should speak to their nurse or clinician first.
