Altiven® Class 2 Arm Sleeve with Grip Top & Elbow

Class 2 arm sleeve with a grip top and shaped elbow

The Altiven® Class 2 Arm Sleeve with Grip Top & Elbow is a ready-to-wear compression sleeve for the arm, knitted in the UK by Urgo® Medical. It gives EU Class 2 graduated compression at 23-32mmHg, the firm level, and is designed for the management of lymphoedema, venous oedema and vascular conditions. The grip top sits at the top of the upper arm and helps hold the sleeve where it should be.

How the sleeve is built

  • EU Class 2 compression, 23-32mmHg, rated firm
  • Graduated pressure, firmest at the wrist and easing towards the top of the arm
  • Grip top band to help stop the sleeve sliding down
  • Shaped at the elbow so it follows a bent arm
  • Circular-knitted, ready to wear rather than made to measure
  • Made at Urgo® Medical's own UK factory

Sizes, colours and daily wear

Unisex, in sizes I/XS, II/S, III/M, IV/L and V/XL, and in Black or Soft Beige. A sleeve is usually put on first thing in the morning and worn through the day, then taken off at night unless a clinician advises otherwise. Sizing works from arm measurements, not clothing size, so the size and the compression class are normally chosen by the nurse or clinician looking after your arm.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.

Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
