Altiven® Class 2 Arm Sleeve

Firm arm compression at 23-32mmHg, knitted in the UK

The Altiven® Class 2 Arm Sleeve gives firm compression along the forearm and upper arm at 23-32mmHg, to European Class 2. Pressure is highest at the wrist and eases towards the top of the arm. It is designed for the management of lymphoedema, venous oedema and vascular conditions, and Urgo® Medical knits the Altiven® range in its own UK factory.

Knit, sizes and colours

  • Circular-knitted in stock sizes rather than made to measure
  • Unisex, covering the forearm and upper arm
  • Five sizes: I/XS, II/S, III/M, IV/L and V/XL
  • Black or Soft Beige
  • Made in the UK by Urgo® Medical

Getting the sleeve on

Sizing comes from measurements taken at several points along the arm, so be measured before you order rather than going by your usual clothing size. Put the sleeve on first thing in the morning, when swelling is at its lowest. Household rubber gloves help you ease firm compression into place without snagging the knit, and a second sleeve is handy so one can be worn while the other dries.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
