Altiven® Class 1 Thigh Hold Up

UK-made thigh hold up in European Class 1 compression

The Altiven® thigh hold up reaches the top of the thigh and stays up on its own, with no suspender belt needed. It gives European Class 1 graduated compression at 18-21mmHg, firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg, and is designed for the management of lymphoedema, venous oedema and vascular conditions. Altiven® hosiery is made in the UK by Urgo® Medical.

Compression, lengths and toe styles

  • May help reduce fluid build-up in the leg during daily wear
  • European Class 1 graduated compression, 18-21mmHg
  • Regular and Short leg lengths
  • Closed Toe or Open Toe
  • Sizes I/XS, II/S, III/M, IV/L, V/XL, VI/XXL and VII/XXXL
  • Available in Black or Soft Beige

Choosing between the options

Open Toe leaves the toes free, which suits swollen toes or a daily look at your feet. Closed Toe finishes like a conventional stocking. Sizing follows the Altiven® size chart rather than your shoe or dress size, so measure the leg first, ideally in the morning before any swelling builds. When you put the stocking on, gather it down to the heel and ease it up in stages rather than pulling it on in one go.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.

Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
