Solidea Stripe Game Polaris

Meet the Solidea Stripe Game Polaris, a unisex knee-high compression sock that brings a little starlight to everyday support. Named after the North Star, its crisp black-and-white stripes look like smart everyday socks while quietly delivering 15-21mmHg of graduated compression - support that is firmest at the ankle and eases gently up the leg to help tired, heavy and aching legs feel lighter through a long day of sitting, standing, walking or travelling.

Graduated Compression 15-21mmHg

The Polaris offers 15-21mmHg of graduated compression, which Solidea describes as intended for medical purposes other than the prevention of pooling of blood in the legs. The gentle, graduated support is firmer at the ankle and eases up the calf to encourage circulation and help relieve the heavy, tired, aching feeling that can build up when you are on your feet or seated for long periods, so you can stay comfortable and active for longer.

Soft Bamboo-Viscose Yarn

Knitted from a soft bamboo-viscose blend (55% bamboo viscose, 24% polyamide, 11% elastane and 10% polypropylene), the Polaris feels smooth, breathable and gentle against the skin. The bamboo yarn helps legs feel fresher and cooler than many thicker, more medical-looking styles, and an invisible knitted toe adds to all-day comfort. The socks are made in Italy from OEKO-TEX® certified materials, independently tested for harmful substances.

Everyday Style, Not a "Medical" Look

With an elegant black top band and fine black-and-white horizontal stripes, the Polaris is designed to look like a stylish everyday sock rather than obvious medical hosiery. It is unisex and available in five sizes, from 1-S to 5-XXL, so you can choose graduated support that suits your look as well as your legs.

FAQs

What is the Solidea Stripe Game Polaris used for?

It is a unisex knee-high compression sock providing 15-21mmHg of graduated compression. Solidea intends this support for medical purposes other than the prevention of pooling of blood in the legs, and many people wear it every day to help relieve tired, heavy and aching legs during long periods of sitting, standing or travel.

Are these compression socks right for me?

Daylong Direct recommends that you speak to a nurse, GP or pharmacist to make sure compression hosiery is suitable for you before you buy. If it is, you should be measured so that you choose the correct size, which helps the socks work as intended and feel comfortable. Solidea advises against use in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the materials listed on the packaging.

What size should I choose?

Solidea sizes the Stripe Game knee-highs by shoe size, across five sizes from 1-S to 5-XXL. Check your shoe size against the size guide on this page to find your size. If you are between sizes or unsure, please contact our team for help.

How long each day should I wear them?

Many people wear compression socks through the day and take them off at night. It is sensible to build up your wearing time gradually and to follow any advice given by your nurse, GP or pharmacist for your individual needs.

How do I wash and care for them?

Solidea advises hand washing with a mild detergent, gently squeezing out excess water (do not wring) and laying the socks flat to dry. They can also be machine washed in warm water on a delicate cycle and dried on a low setting. Do not use bleach, fabric softener or other laundry additives, and always follow the care symbols on the packaging.
