SIGVARIS® Style TRANSPARENT Class 2 Thigh Hold Up Compression Stockings

Sheer thigh hold ups with a lace top band

A hold up stocking sheer enough to pass for everyday hosiery, finished with a lace top band that holds it in place on the thigh. SIGVARIS® Style TRANSPARENT gives AFNOR Class 2 graduated compression (15-20mmHg), firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg, and is designed for the management of varicose veins and mild oedema. Six sizes, two lengths, open or Closed Toe.

Compression and the top band

  • AFNOR Class 2 graduated compression, 15-20mmHg
  • May help ease tired, aching legs and mild swelling during daily wear
  • Moderate compression level, for the lower limb
  • Lace top band grips the thigh, so no suspender belt is needed
  • Closed Toe or Open Toe, so the toes can be left free if that suits you better
  • Normal and Long lengths, sizes X-Small to XX-Large

Sheer knit, shades and sizing

The knit is fine and transparent, meant to read as normal hosiery rather than a medical stocking. Five beige shades run from Beige One to Beige Five, with Black as the alternative. The stockings are latex free. Sizes come from your own leg measurements, not your dress size, so take the tape to your ankle, calf and thigh before you choose. Ease the stocking on a little at a time rather than hauling it up from the top, and keep rings and rough heels away from the knit.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.

Fits well. Stays up. Fine and transparent so I didn't feel like I was wearing support stockings. Worked the same after being washed.  Will buy some more even though quite expensive.
