SIGVARIS® Essential COMFORTABLE Class 1 Thigh

Thigh-length RAL Class 1 compression with a plain top band

SIGVARIS® Essential COMFORTABLE Class 1 Thigh is a thigh-length medical compression stocking giving RAL Class 1 graduated compression, 18-21mmHg, firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg. The knit is soft and opaque, and the stocking is made without latex. It is designed for the management of varicose veins, mild oedema and tired, aching legs. RAL Class 1 is the European classification, not the British Standard class of the same number.

How the stocking stays up

The top band is plain, so this is not a hold up. It is normally worn with a suspender, or held in place with body glue. The band sits high on the thigh and should lie flat. A rolled or folded band digs in. Open Toe leaves the toes free, which suits an application aid or open shoes; Closed Toe covers the whole foot. Measure both legs before ordering, as they are often not the same.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.
