SIGVARIS® Essential COMFORTABLE Class 1 Below Knee

RAL Class 1 below knee compression, opaque and latex free

The SIGVARIS® Essential COMFORTABLE Class 1 Below Knee stocking runs from the foot to just under the knee and gives RAL Class 1 graduated compression (18-21mmHg), firmest at the ankle and easing up the calf. RAL is the European classification, so the class number does not line up with the British Standard bands. The opaque knit is designed for the management of varicose veins and tired, aching legs, and may help ease mild swelling in the lower leg during daily wear.

Fabric, colours and daily wear

The knit is 65% polyamide and 35% elastane, opaque enough to cover the leg rather than show it. Colours are Black, Caramel and Savannah. The stocking is made without latex, which suits skin that reacts to natural rubber. Put it on first thing in the morning and smooth the fabric flat as you draw it up, so no folds sit behind the ankle.
