SIGVARIS® COMPREFLEX Standard Calf

Inelastic calf wrap set with ACCUTAB devices

The SIGVARIS® COMPREFLEX Standard Calf is a wrap, not a stocking. Overlapping hook-and-loop bands fasten around the lower leg to give 20-50mmHg of firm, graduated inelastic compression, set using the ACCUTAB devices supplied. It is designed for the management of chronic oedema and lymphoedema of the lower limb, and can be worn day or night.

Setting and adjusting the compression

The ACCUTAB devices mark the compression you have been set, so the wrap goes back on at the same level after it comes off.

  • 20-50mmHg firm, graduated inelastic compression
  • Includes ACCUTAB devices to set the required compression range
  • Open toe and heel, so the foot can be checked without taking the wrap off
  • Non-compressive cotton underliners supplied to wear next to the skin
  • Latex free

Sizes, lengths and fabric

Sizes Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large, each in Regular and Tall lengths, in Beige or Black. The wrap is made from roughly 37% polyamide, 27% polyurethane foam, 26% cotton, 6% elastane and 4% polyester. Keep the hook-and-loop fastenings clear of fluff and hair so the bands hold their grip.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.

So much easier to put on and more comfortable than usual compression stockings.  Not the most attractive colour or design but comfortable enough and effective.  Still uncomfortable in the hot weather but better than the alternative.
