ReadyWrap® Gauntlet

A hand and wrist wrap you fasten and adjust yourself

The ReadyWrap® Gauntlet covers the hand and wrist in a wrap you fasten yourself, with straps you can slacken or tighten as the day goes on. It comes in left and right versions, so it follows the shape of the hand rather than sitting flat against it. Part of the ReadyWrap® system from Lohmann & Rauscher, it is designed for the ongoing management of lymphoedema.

Padding and fastening

  • Built-in padding across the palm and the back of the hand, to keep compression even over bony areas
  • Hook-and-loop straps fasten at the front and adjust one at a time
  • Fingers are left free, so you can still grip and hold things
  • Latex free
  • Can be worn under clothing or over another garment

Sizes, colours and fabric

Four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and X-Large, in Beige or Black. The fabric is 61% nylon, 33% polyurethane and 6% elastane. Keep the hook-and-loop strips clear of fluff and hair, as they grip better and last longer for it.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
