ReadyWrap® Extender Strap

A 10 cm strap that gives a ReadyWrap more reach

The ReadyWrap® Extender Strap adds 10 cm to a standard ReadyWrap strap. It is for legs with a larger girth, where the straps supplied with the wrap will not reach across the panel to fasten. ReadyWrap wraps close with hook-and-loop straps set by hand, and the extender gives one of those straps the reach it needs. Lohmann & Rauscher make it as part of the ReadyWrap adjustable compression wrap system.

Fitting the extender

The extender fastens onto the hook-and-loop tab already on the wrap, so nothing needs cutting or sewing. A Y-clamp design helps hold the join secure once the strap is set. Fit it with the wrap on the limb rather than off it, so you can see how much of the extra 10 cm the leg actually needs. Keep the hook-and-loop clear of fluff and hair, since the grip is what holds the join.
