ReadyWrap® Calf

An adjustable calf wrap that can be re-tightened as swelling changes

ReadyWrap® Calf is an off-the-shelf compression wrap for the lower leg, made from low-stretch fabric and fastened with hook-and-loop straps at the front. Each strap adjusts on its own, so the wrap can be loosened or tightened through the day as the leg changes. It is designed for the management of lymphoedema and chronic swelling of the lower leg.

Straps and coverage

• Overlaps at the foot and knee, so there are no gaps in coverage
• Short front-fastening straps, alternating up the leg, to spread pressure and help with one-handed fitting
• A spine that limits stretch and adds protection
• Low-profile enough to wear with ordinary footwear
• Latex free, and made by Lohmann & Rauscher

Sizes, colours and fabric

Two lengths, Average and Tall, in sizes Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large. Colours are Beige and Black. The fabric is 61% nylon, 33% polyurethane and 6% elastane. The wrap is washable and reusable, so it can come off for skin checks and washing and go back on afterwards. Sizing is based on leg measurements, and leg shape can change during treatment, so measure again if the limb has altered.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone.
