Mediven® Plus Class 1 Thigh Compression Stockings with Topband

Open Toe thigh stockings in RAL Class 1, 18-21mmHg

The topband keeps this stocking sitting high on the thigh. Mediven® Plus Class 1 Thigh Compression Stockings with Topband are an opaque round-knit stocking from medi, made in Germany, giving RAL Class 1 compression at 18-21mmHg, firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg. They are designed for the management of varicose veins and mild oedema, and come in Open Toe only.

Knit, heel and topband

The round-knit fabric is opaque, so it covers veins rather than showing them through, and the heel is shaped rather than flat.

  • RAL Class 1 compression, 18-21mmHg, rated moderate
  • 75% polyamide, 25% elastane
  • Y-shape heel, with a topband finishing the stocking at the thigh
  • Opaque enough to cover varicose and spider veins
  • Latex free, and made in Germany by medi

Sizes, lengths, colours and washing

Seven sizes run from I/XS to VII/XXXL, in Petite and Standard lengths, in Beige or Black. Sizes come from medi's own chart, so measure the leg rather than working from a dress or shoe size. Gather the stocking down to the heel and ease it up in stages instead of pulling from the top; it sits more evenly and the knit lasts better. Wash at 40°C, and do not bleach, iron or dry clean.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.
