Mediven® Elegance Class 2 Thigh Compression Stockings with Lace Topband

Sheer Class 2 thigh stockings finished with a lace topband

The lace topband is the point of this one: a decorative finish on a stocking that is otherwise a serious piece of compression hosiery. Mediven® Elegance thigh stockings give RAL Class 2 graduated compression (23-32mmHg), firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg, and are designed for the management of varicose veins and mild oedema. The knit is fine and transparent, so they look like ordinary sheer stockings.

Compression and fit

  • RAL Class 2 graduated compression, 23-32mmHg
  • Worn as a hold-up on the lace topband, so no suspender belt is needed
  • Closed Toe, with a soft elastic toe area
  • Smaller reinforced heel, designed to sit without wrinkling
  • Wide soft cuff at the top of the leg

Fabric, sizing and getting them on

The stocking is round knitted from 61% polyamide and 39% elastane, and it is latex free. Sizes run from I/XS to VII/XXXL, in Beige or Black, with Petite and Standard leg lengths. Ease the stocking on a little at a time rather than pulling it straight up the leg, and watch for nails and rough heels, which catch on a fine knit like this.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.

These still slip down suspenders still required

Customer

I am very pleased with the product. I was initially concerned since the stocking was a 'hold up', but it has proved an excellent fit, comfortable and is just the strength of compression stocking I need.
