Strap-adjusted relief for one-sided knee osteoarthritis

The medi Soft OA Light is a soft knee brace for unicompartmental osteoarthritis, where the wear sits on the inner or outer side of the joint. A patented 3-point relief system shifts load away from the affected compartment as the knee moves, and you set how much correction you want on a numbered strap scale. It may help ease pain while you stay on your feet.

The relief system

Sizing and care

Measure the circumference of your thigh 15 cm above the centre of your kneecap, then check it against the size guide. The brace is made for one side of the joint, so the option you choose has to match the affected compartment. Remove the aluminium hinges and any wedges before washing the fabric parts, and let them air dry. Follow the washing instructions supplied with the brace.

Have the side, compartment and size confirmed by a GP, physiotherapist or orthotist before ordering, as the relief depends on matching the affected side of the knee. If a brace has been prescribed for you, follow your clinician's advice on the relief setting and daily wearing time.
