The medi Fresh Cooling Spray is sprayed straight onto hosiery while it is being worn. It is a 100 ml spray from the medi UK Accessories range, made to give legs a cool, fresh feel under compression on warm days. The spray gives no compression of its own, so it is used alongside stockings rather than in place of them, and it is latex free.
Warm weather is the obvious moment for it, though a heated office does much the same to a leg in compression. Nothing has to come off first, so the spray can be used at a desk or on a train and then put away again. A light pass over the fabric works better than soaking it, because a wet stocking feels cold rather than fresh. The label gives the guidance on how often to use it. Keep the spray away from the eyes, and off skin that is broken or sore.
Read the directions on the bottle before first use. For anyone unsure whether the spray suits their skin, a nurse, GP or pharmacist can advise.
