Two-layer cohesive bandage kit at reduced compression

The Solventum® Coban™ 2 Lite Layer Compression System Kit is a two-layer cohesive bandage system for compression therapy where full compression is not tolerated. Each kit holds a Comfort Layer and a Compression Layer, put on over a wound dressing by a trained clinician. It is designed for use in the management of venous leg ulcers with an arterial component, chronic oedema and lymphoedema.

How the two layers work

• Comfort Layer goes on first: a foam layer with a cohesive backing that pads the leg
• Compression Layer goes over the top and grips itself rather than skin or hair
• Intelligent Compression Dynamics, Solventum's own technology, is designed to hold the bandage in place with minimal slippage
• Reduced compression level, for patients who cannot tolerate a full compression system
• Latex-free construction

Fit and application

The rolls are one size fits all, so there is no measuring or made-to-measure ordering. Both layers go on at full stretch, which is designed to reduce variation between one application and the next. The finished bandage is thin and light, so most patients can carry on wearing their own shoes.

Compression is only appropriate after clinical assessment, including arterial status. This kit is put on and changed by a trained healthcare professional, so follow the instructions for use supplied with the product and your local wound care protocol.
