Solventum® Coban™ 2 Lite Comfort Compression Layer

The outer compression layer of the Coban™ 2 Lite system

Solventum® Coban™ 2 Lite is a two-layer bandage system, and this roll is the second of those two layers. It is cohesive, so it bonds to itself rather than to skin or hair, and it goes on over the Comfort Layer at full stretch to give sustained compression. The layer is latex-free and is used within compression therapy for the management of oedema and lymphoedema.

How the layer works on the leg

• Cohesive bandage, so no pins or tape are needed to hold it
• Goes on over the Comfort Layer, which is applied against the skin first
• Designed to stay put on the limb and reduce slippage between changes
• Uses what Solventum® calls Intelligent Compression Dynamics, the technology behind the system's sustained compression
• Latex-free construction

Roll widths

Every roll is 3.5 m long, in four widths: 2.5cm x 3.5m, 7.5cm x 3.5m, 10cm x 3.5m and 15cm x 3.5m. Width is chosen to suit the limb being bandaged, so check the size named in the patient's care plan before ordering. Narrow widths are the ones that run out first in a busy clinic.

Coban™ 2 Lite is applied by a trained clinician. This layer is made to be used with the Coban™ 2 Lite Comfort Layer, not on its own, so follow the instructions supplied with the product for application and wear time.
