Altiven® Class 3 Thigh Hold Up

Class 3 thigh hold up at 34-46mmHg, made in the UK

The Altiven® Class 3 Thigh Hold Up is a single-leg stocking that reaches the top of the thigh and is worn without a suspender belt. It gives European Class 3 graduated compression, 34-46mmHg, the extra firm level, and is designed for the management of lymphoedema, venous oedema and vascular conditions where swelling sits above the knee. Altiven® hosiery is made by Urgo® Medical at its UK factory.

Compression and how it is worn

  • European Class 3, 34-46mmHg, firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg
  • Designed to compress swollen tissue and help reduce fluid build-up
  • Thigh length, held in place at the top of the thigh rather than by a belt
  • Unisex fit, for the lower limb
  • Part of the Altiven® range of ready-to-wear compression hosiery from Urgo® Medical

Sizes, lengths and colours

Sizes run I/XS, II/S, III/M, IV/L, V/XL, VI/XXL and VII/XXXL, in Regular and Short lengths. Choose Closed Toe or Open Toe, in Black or Soft Beige. Open Toe leaves the toes free, which some people prefer for checking the foot or where the toes are swollen. Class 3 takes real effort to pull on, so ease the stocking up the leg in stages rather than tugging it from the top.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable.

Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.
