ActiLymph® Class 2 Thigh Hold Up Stockings

A stiffer knit than standard support hosiery

ActiLymph® is knitted stiffer than ordinary support hosiery, so it keeps its shape on a limb that swells. This is the thigh-length hold-up version in EU Class 2, a firm 23-32mmHg, designed for the management of lymphoedema and leg swelling.

Pressure and how it stays up

  • EU Class 2 compression, 23-32mmHg, firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg
  • Thigh length, held up by a silicone band at the top, so no suspender belt is needed
  • Latex free
  • Yarn designed to help manage temperature and moisture next to the skin
  • Made by Lohmann & Rauscher

Sizes and finishes

The hold-up is Unisex, sized Small to XX-Large in one Standard length, in Black or Sand. The Closed Toe gives a conventional stocking finish. The Open Toe leaves the toes clear, which helps if they are swollen or you check your feet each day. Machine wash at 40°C. When putting it on, gather the stocking down to the heel first and ease it up in stages rather than pulling from the top.

It's important to get the right fit when it comes to compression garments. That's why Daylong Shop recommends that you contact a nurse, GP or pharmacist to ensure that compression hosiery is appropriate for you. If so, you will then need to be measured in order to obtain the correct size which will ensure that the garment works correctly and feels comfortable. Compression hosiery may not be suitable for everyone. If you have diabetes, circulation problems, reduced sensation, fragile skin, heart failure or a diagnosed vascular condition, speak to a healthcare professional before using compression.

I have been wearing these support stockings for couple of years. They are strong and wear well. Be careful putting them on /off do not drag by the elastic top otherwise no issues .
